Why do we require a Lockout Padlock and Key?
Lock and key systems are mechanical, electronic, or electromechanical devices used to restrict access to the area and personal property.
Today, lock and key systems are much more sophisticated, but they serve the same function. They are the first line of defence against unauthorized entry to a restricted area, machines or equipment. In this capacity, locks actually provide several different levels of deterrence.
The key serves as a security token for access to the restricted area / isolated machinery or equipment; only the person having the right key can operate the padlock and gain access.

Keyed Different:
E-Square offers “keyed differently” padlocks to its customers on demand. As the name suggests, every padlock will be provided with a different key, and this key cannot be used to operate another padlock. In short, the key for one lock should not open another. E-Square padlocks offer high levels of safety and security. This enables us to offer a greater number of unique keys than other locks, making it highly unlikely that you will ever receive a duplicate lock. Keyed Alike (Padlocks with same Key):
When keyed alike, all locks in a set can be opened with the same key. This option is beneficial when there are multiple isolations done, and in such cases handling key different keys can be a tricky task. Using key-alike options are recommended where multiple locks are assigned to a single employee.
Master Keyed:
A master key can be used to open multiple locks that are keyed differently. This allows supervisors to easily remove a lock in the event of an emergency. In order for employees to retain exclusive control, master keys should be kept in a secure location that is accessible only to management.
Grand Master Keyed:
The master key system can be extended to several teams. This way, each team has a master key, and all the locks of all the teams can be opened by a "Grand" Master Key if necessary.
